Bob Sanders was a 2nd round draft choice (#44 overall) of the Indianapolis Colts in 2004. Again in 2006, he showed that he "raises the level of play of teammates" when he returned from injury to spark the team in the playoffs and lead them to the Super Bowl championship. In his first 24 games with the Colts, he recorded 152 tackles, 2 interceptions, 4 passes broken up, and 2 forced fumbles. He was rewarded during the 2007 season with a contract extension that made him one of the top paid safeties in the league.
