COMMENTS
Highly regarded high school football and baseball player. Drafted as a catcher by the Montreal Expos in the 1995 Major League Baseball Draft. 1995 redshirt season. Took over for Brian Griese following the 1997 season. Split time with highly regarded Drew Henson early this season. Pocket passer with great size. Accurate and makes good decisions. Adequate arm. Excels in the short passing game. Throws the quick slant very well. Shows poise under pressure. Lacks mobility. Team leader.
PROJECTION
Round 4

Tom Brady was a late-sixth round draft choice (#199 overall) of the New England Patriots in 2000. Although we considered Brady an early second day prospect, he slid on draft day following a poor showing at the Combine. His intelligence and will to win combined with tremendous timing and accuracy has already made him one of the best of all time.

Must avoid biting on play action. Reminds of Tyrone Carter (Minnesota Golden Gophers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets), but Sanders is a much better athlete.

Bob Sanders was a second round draft choice (#44 overall) of the Indianapolis Colts in 2004. Again in 2006, he showed that he "raises the level of play of teammates" when he returned from injury to spark the team in the playoffs and lead them to the Super Bowl championship. In his first 24 games with the Colts, he recorded 152 tackles, 2 interceptions, 4 passes broken up, and 2 forced fumbles. He was rewarded during the 2007 season with a contract extension that made him one of the top paid safeties in the league.
